Apples are useful in any form - fresh, baked, boiled. Fresh fruit is a bit heavy for toddlers. They bind some of the nutrients, prevent their absorption into the blood. Ideal - applesauce for babies from boiled and baked fruits. It is easy to make it yourself or buy it in the store.

How to choose ready-made puree in jars?

The range of applesauce for babies is rich, which makes it difficult for many mothers to make a choice. Someone prefers domestic products, while others prefer more expensive imported brands with a long history and excellent reputation. The rules for choosing a product in jars are similar in any case. When buying, it is important to consider the following criteria:

  1. Compound . The product for babies should not include sugar, dyes, chemical additives. Good baby food contains only apples and vitamin C, which acts as a natural preservative.
  2. Baby's age. Products marked "from year" are not suitable for younger babies. It is important to find a puree that is suitable for the age of the child.
  3. Shelf life. For most canned foods for babies, it is 6-12 months. It is undesirable to buy a product that is approaching the end of its shelf life.
  4. Package . Traditional packaging for applesauce is a sealed glass jar with a volume of 100-200 grams. It is desirable that the label covers its contents completely, prevents the penetration of sunlight. A more modern version of packaging is sealed cardboard. It better protects the product from light and preserves it beneficial features.
  5. Product type. The puree in a jar has a honey brown color. An unnatural shade and uneven consistency is a reason to refrain from buying.
